Napheesa Collier of the Minnesota Lynx won the inaugural Unrivaled 1-on-1 tournament, defeating Aaliyah Edwards and securing a record-breaking $200,000 prize, the largest in women's basketball history. Collier triumphed in a best-of-three final series with scores of 6-9, 9-4, and a dominant shutout at 8-0 in the decisive game. Throughout the tournament, Collier showcased her skills by overcoming opponents like Katie Lou Samuelson, Rickea Jackson, and Azura Stevens on her way to the finals. Edwards, the eighth seed, also had an impressive run, defeating top competitors including No. 1 seed Breanna Stewart. The tournament highlighted Unrivaled's innovative approach to women's basketball, with Collier and her teammates from the Lunar Owls each receiving $10,000 in addition to their winnings. Edwards earned $50,000 as the runner-up, while semifinalists Arike Ogunbowale and Stevens received $25,000 each.
