Fairmont Golden Prague Opens After Multimillion-Euro Renovation

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has officially opened the Fairmont Golden Prague, a luxury hotel located at the entrance of Pařížská Boulevard along the Vltava River, following a multimillion-euro renovation of a historic building. Designed by Czech architect Karel Filsak in 1974, the hotel's refurbishment, led by chief architect Marek Tichý, preserves original brutalist features while introducing modern hospitality elements. The hotel boasts 320 rooms and suites, a variety of dining options including the rooftop Zlata Praha, and a collection of art from the 1960s and 1970s. Fairmont's CEO, Omer Acar, emphasized the hotel's role in enhancing the cultural heritage of Prague and its contribution to the city's culinary scene. Additionally, the hotel offers exclusive Fairmont Gold rooms, which provide personalized services and amenities. This opening marks a significant step in Fairmont's expansion in Europe, with over 30 new properties under development globally.
