Wigglesworth, Dalziel Named Lions Coaches for Australia Tour

Andy Farrell has announced the coaching team for the British & Irish Lions' upcoming tour of Australia, which includes Richard Wigglesworth and Simon Easterby as assistant coaches. The initial squad comprises 75 players, with Farrell emphasizing the high level of competition among potential selections. Wigglesworth, who has been instrumental in England's recent success, expressed his pride and excitement about joining the Lions' coaching staff, recalling his long history with Farrell dating back to their time at Saracens. The coaching lineup also features John Dalziel, Andrew Goodman, and John Fogarty, highlighting a strong Irish influence. Notably, this is the first Lions tour since 2001 without any Welsh representation in the coaching team. The Lions will face Argentina in Dublin on June 20, with the Australia Tests scheduled for July 19, 26, and August 2.
