Kissimmee Man Faces Attempted Murder Charges After Motel Bat Attack

Terell Frederick Rodgers, a 31-year-old man from Kissimmee, has been arrested for allegedly attacking the mother of his child with a baseball bat at a motel, resulting in severe injuries including multiple skull fractures. Witnesses reported that the violent incident occurred after an argument escalated, with Rodgers admitting to police that he felt 'a sense of pleasure' during the attack. He was reportedly under the influence of methamphetamine and had posted a $5,000 bond for a previous aggravated battery charge just days before the incident. Eyewitness Dewayne Zolyniak recounted the chaos, stating that Rodgers struck not only the victim but also attempted to attack others in the room, ultimately barricading them in a bathroom. Following the attack, Rodgers expressed distress, claiming he thought he had killed the victim. He is now facing multiple charges, including attempted murder and arson, and is being held without bond at the Osceola County Jail.
