Two Men Charged in Millie Boyle Theft

Millie Elliott, a star player for the Sydney Roosters, had her 2024 NRLW Premiership ring stolen during a break-in at her Merewether home on October 12. Following an investigation, police arrested a 24-year-old man on October 16, who was charged with multiple break-and-enter offenses, but the ring was not initially recovered. On November 8, police received a tip regarding the ring's location in a Newcastle business, leading to its recovery. Subsequently, a 37-year-old man was arrested on November 14 and charged with receiving stolen property. Both men are awaiting court appearances, with the 24-year-old facing a hearing on December 11 and the 37-year-old scheduled for January 9. Elliott had made a public plea for information on the ring's whereabouts, stating it was of great sentimental value to her and her husband, Adam Elliott.
