AMINA Secures First MiCA License for EU Crypto Services Expansion

AMINA Bank, a Swiss-regulated digital assets bank formerly known as SEBA Bank, has become the first crypto banking group to receive a Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) license through its Austrian subsidiary, AMINA (Austria) AG, enabling it to offer regulated crypto trading, custody, portfolio management, and staking services to professional investors across Europe. The Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA) granted this Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) license, positioning Austria as AMINA's European regulatory base due to its clear framework and investor protection standards. This strategic approval allows AMINA to expand its crypto offerings in over 30 European markets, leveraging its existing licenses in Switzerland, Hong Kong, and Abu Dhabi, and targeting institutional clients such as family offices, corporates, and financial institutions. The MiCA license marks a significant milestone for the digital asset ecosystem, establishing AMINA as a pioneer in institutional-grade, compliant crypto services under the EU's new regulatory regime, which aims to standardize and mature the crypto market while imposing stringent operational and compliance standards.
