Lexi Minetree Cast in Legally Blonde Prequel

Reese Witherspoon has announced that Lexi Minetree will portray the teenage Elle Woods in Prime Video's Legally Blonde prequel series, Elle. The series will explore Elle Woods' high school years and the experiences that shaped her iconic character in the original Legally Blonde film. Minetree was selected after an extensive nationwide casting process, during which Witherspoon reviewed numerous audition tapes. The series is produced by Witherspoon's Hello Sunshine and involves creators like Laura Kittrell and Caroline Dries. Despite previous reports listing Madison Wolfe as a finalist, Minetree has been confirmed as the lead. Witherspoon will also serve as an executive producer for the series alongside other notable producers.
