Ohtani, Judge Lead MVP Award Finalists

Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Dodgers is a finalist for the National League MVP award after a historic season, becoming the first player to achieve 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases in a single season. He is joined by Francisco Lindor of the New York Mets and Ketel Marte of the Arizona Diamondbacks in the MVP race. In the American League, Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees is the frontrunner for his second MVP award after leading the league in several key statistics, with Juan Soto and Bobby Witt Jr. also in contention. The Yankees and Mets have been well-represented among the award finalists, with six combined finalists across various categories. Luis Gil and Austin Wells are Yankees' finalists for AL Rookie of the Year, alongside Colton Cowser of the Orioles. The winners of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America Awards will be announced throughout next week on MLB Network.
