Gulfport police responded shortly after the incident, and Ward was apprehended without incident. He is currently being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center with a bond set at $500,000. The robbery occurred around 12:53 p.m. in the 1700 block of Kelly Avenue, where the police received reports of the armed threat. Ward faces one count of armed robbery as he awaits further legal proceedings.
