Bojan Bogdanovic Retires After Injury-Plagued NBA Career
Bojan Bogdanovic, a 36-year-old Croatian forward, has retired from the NBA after 10 seasons due to a prolonged foot injury that required two surgeries and kept him off the court. Bogdanovic played for six NBA teams, starting with the Brooklyn Nets in 2014, and later joining the Wizards, Pacers, Jazz, Pistons, and Knicks. He was known for his reliable scoring and three-point shooting, averaging 15.6 points and 39.4% from beyond the arc over 719 games, with standout seasons in Detroit and Utah where he averaged over 20 points per game. Internationally, he represented Croatia with distinction, averaging 24.8 points per game at the 2016 Rio Olympics, which he called the greatest honor of his career. Bogdanovic's NBA career ended after being waived by the Nets following season-ending surgery. He leaves a legacy of perseverance, professionalism, and pride in both club and country.
