The United States saw a population increase of 2.6 million in 2024, reaching 341 million by New Year's Day, with significant contributions from births and international migration. Globally, an average of 4.2 births and 2.0 deaths are expected every second in January 2025. The United Nations estimated a higher global population figure of 8.2 billion as of July 2024.
