Stree 2 Becomes Highest-Grossing Hindi Film

September 2024 proved disastrous for Hindi films, as they collectively earned only 67.70 crore, marking the worst performance in a decade, primarily overshadowed by the continued success of Stree 2, which alone earned 162 crore during the same period. Stree 2 has emerged as the highest-grossing Hindi film, surpassing previous records held by Jawan, Baahubali 2, and RRR, and has grossed over Rs 600 crore in total. Despite the release of other films like Yudhra and The Buckingham Murders, they struggled to attract audiences, with Stree 2's dominance evident as it continues to break box office records. In comparison, two South Indian films also released in Hindi, Devara and The Greatest Of All Time, managed relatively higher earnings, but still fell short against Stree 2's momentum. Analysts predict that while Stree 2 will likely not surpass Jawan's total earnings, it has surpassed all expectations during its theatrical run. The film's release on Amazon Prime Video is highly anticipated, especially following its record-setting performance in theaters.
