Liverpool forward Gakpo confirms Bayern Munich summer interest

Liverpool winger Cody Gakpo has confirmed that Bayern Munich showed concrete interest in signing him during the summer transfer window. Despite the Bavarian club's approach, Bayern ultimately signed Gakpo's Liverpool teammate Luis Diaz for £65 million instead. Gakpo revealed that negotiating his contract extension, which will keep him at Liverpool beyond 2028, was a long and complex process lasting about a year.
