Two significant paleontological discoveries were recently reported. In Japan, researchers led by Carleton University's Michael Ryan discovered Sasayamagnomus saegusai, a new primitive ceratopsian dinosaur, indicating early ceratopsians migrated from Asia to North America during the mid-Cretaceous period. Meanwhile, in Spain, a team led by Portuguese paleontologist Pedro Mocho unearthed Qunkasaura pintiquiniestra, a new species of sauropod dinosaur from the Upper Cretaceous period, notable for being one of the most complete sauropod skeletons found in Europe. This discovery was made at the Lo Hueco site, which has yielded over 12,000 fossils since 2007, revealing significant insights into the region's ancient ecosystems and dinosaur lineages. Both findings enhance our understanding of dinosaur migration and evolution.
