Alabama Upsets Georgia 24–21, Ends Home Streak

No. 17 Alabama beat No. 5 Georgia 24–21 in Athens, ending the Bulldogs’ 33-game home winning streak and handing Kirby Smart a 1–7 record against the Crimson Tide. Ty Simpson passed for 276 yards with two touchdowns and ran for another, and Alabama converted 12 of 19 third downs while limiting Georgia to 2 of 8. Alabama forced a Nate Frazier fumble that led to the deciding field goal; LT Overton’s fourth-and-1 stop and a final 3:19 possession preserved the win. The Tide improved to 3–1 (1–0 SEC) while Georgia fell to 3–1 (1–1 SEC), and Alabama’s offense remained turnover-free through four games. Alabama drew fewer penalties (16 yards) than Georgia (68) and extended its recent series dominance, winning 10 of the last 11 meetings.
