Four Teens Arrested After Deadly Pontiac Shooting
Four teenagers, ages 13, 15, 16, and 17, have been arrested in connection with a July 8 shooting in Pontiac, Michigan, that left an 18-year-old man dead and a 19-year-old critically injured. The shooting occurred near West South Boulevard and Highland Avenue, with the 18-year-old found unresponsive from a gunshot wound to the chest and later pronounced dead at the hospital. The 19-year-old victim underwent surgery and is expected to survive, while a third individual was identified as a victim but was not injured. Two suspects, ages 13 and 15, were arrested shortly after the incident, the 17-year-old was apprehended on Wednesday by a fugitive task force, and the 16-year-old turned himself in later that evening with his mother. All suspects are being held at the Oakland County Children's Village and are expected to face charges as prosecutors review the case. Sheriff Michael Bouchard praised the rapid response by law enforcement and urged an end to senseless violence.
