PWHL Second Season Schedule Released
The Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) will kick off its second season on November 30, 2024, featuring a total of 90 regular-season games, with each of the six teams playing 30 matches, an increase from last season's 24 games. The Toronto Sceptres will host the Boston Fleet in the first game at their new home, Coca-Cola Coliseum, at 2 p.m. ET, followed by a matchup between the Montreal Victoire and the Ottawa Charge later that day. The Minnesota Frost, last season's champions, will begin their title defense on December 1 against the New York Sirens. The season will conclude on May 3, 2025, and will include breaks for international play, including the Women's World Championship in April. The league has also introduced new team names and logos, with fresh uniforms expected to be unveiled soon. PWHL Senior VP Jayna Hefford expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming season, highlighting the increased number of games and the excitement surrounding the new identities of the teams.
