WWE Acquires AAA, Sets Worlds Collide Event

WWE has officially acquired the renowned Mexican wrestling promotion AAA, with the announcement made at WrestleMania 41 alongside stars Rey Mysterio, Penta, and new WWE signee Rey Fenix. This historic acquisition paves the way for the confirmed WWE-NXT-AAA Worlds Collide event, scheduled for June 7 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. On the same day, WWE will also host Money in the Bank at the Intuit Dome, creating a rare double-header before AEW's lucha-themed event in Mexico. Rey Mysterio, sidelined by injury, will be replaced at Worlds Collide by Rey Fenix, highlighting WWE's growing international focus. WrestleMania 41 also featured TNA World Champion Joe Hendry’s surprise appearance and a teased future WWE signing by Triple H. Additionally, John Cena is set to face Cody Rhodes, while speculation continues around Paul Heyman's recent actions.
