George Strait Raises $6.25 Million for Texas Flood Relief
George Strait organized and headlined the Strait To The Heart benefit concert in Boerne, Texas, raising over $6.25 million for victims of the devastating Texas Hill Country floods that tragically claimed more than 100 lives. The sold-out event, attended by 1,200 guests, featured performances from notable artists including Garth Brooks, Jamey Johnson, Randy Houser, Riley Green, and others, as well as participation from the Texas Jamm Band, which includes members of Strait's Ace in the Hole Band. Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Senator Ted Cruz also appeared to support the cause, with Abbott praising first responders who rescued over 1,000 people during the disaster. Pastor Max Lucado delivered a poignant blessing emphasizing hope and faith amid tragedy. The concert combined heartfelt music and community solidarity, highlighting the spirit of Texas resilience and generosity. Donations continue to be accepted through the Vaqueros del Mar Texas Flood Relief Fund to aid those affected.
