Rodion Kolomoeits Abducts Children, Fleeing to Ukraine

Los Angeles authorities are searching for Rodion Kolomoeits, a 39-year-old Ukrainian man who allegedly abducted his two children, 9-year-old Avaora and 7-year-old Hrant, from their school and fled to Mexico, possibly on his way to Ukraine. Kolomoeits reportedly lost custody of the children prior to the abduction, which occurred on Tuesday. Surveillance footage showed his vehicle, a Toyota Prius, crossing the border into Mexico at San Ysidro later that day. All three individuals speak Russian, potentially aiding their travel in Eastern Europe. The LAPD is urging anyone with information about their whereabouts to come forward, emphasizing the urgency of ensuring the children's safe return. This incident occurs amidst ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, with recent Russian airstrikes on Kyiv being reported.
