Middleton Scores 23, Ovation in Milwaukee
On Oct. 22 Khris Middleton returned to Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum for the first time since being traded to the Washington Wizards, receiving loud standing ovations and a minute-long tribute video while many fans wore his No. 22. Middleton scored 23 points, but the Wizards lost 133-120 to the Bucks. Supporters and teammates celebrated his 12-year Bucks legacy as a three-time All-Star and 2021 champion, noting he is the franchise's all-time leader in made three-pointers and third in franchise scoring. Middleton said the reception exceeded his expectations and called Milwaukee 'special.' Fans said they were excited about the Bucks' youth movement but largely came to thank Middleton for helping build the championship organization, and some suggested his number should eventually be retired alongside Giannis.
