Two Men Charged With Murder in York

Two men from York have been charged with the murder of 26-year-old Indrit Mustafaj, who died from serious injuries following a targeted attack in the Haxby Road area. The incident occurred on Saturday evening, resulting in Mustafaj's hospitalization and subsequent death. Alongside the murder charge, both suspects face two counts of wounding causing grievous bodily harm with intent. Police have confirmed that another man injured in the attack is currently in stable condition. A man and woman previously arrested for assisting an offender have been released under investigation. Detective Superintendent Fran Naughton indicated that the investigation is ongoing and emphasized the targeted nature of the assault.
