Disney Plans Monstropolis Roller Coaster, Sparks Excitement in Orlando

Disney has announced an exciting new roller coaster themed to Monsters, Inc. set to open in the soon-to-be-built Monstropolis at Hollywood Studios. The ride will be Disney's first-ever vertical-lift coaster and also its first suspended coaster, allowing riders to experience a thrilling chase scene similar to that in the film. This announcement was made during a SXSW panel by Disney executives, who highlighted the high level of anticipation among fans, many of whom have been dreaming of such a ride for years. Additionally, the Muppet Vision 3D show will be replaced by this new land, and the Muppets will move to a revamped Rock 'n' Roller Coaster on Sunset Boulevard. The new Monstropolis area aims to create an immersive experience filled with merchandise, food, and character interactions inspired by the beloved Pixar franchise.
