Police Investigate Robbery at Hard Rock Casino

Rockford Police are investigating a strong-armed robbery that occurred on November 21 at the Hard Rock Casino, where a 70-year-old woman was attacked and her purse was stolen by 39-year-old Nicholas Williams from Madison, Wisconsin. The incident took place around 11:35 a.m. in the casino parking lot, and Williams was seen fleeing the scene in a vehicle heading towards I-90. The casino's advanced surveillance systems aided in the investigation, leading to a robbery charge being authorized by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office. Meanwhile, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, three suspects robbed a PNC Bank ATM maintenance worker around 2:40 p.m. on the same day, stealing cash boxes and escaping in a black sedan; no weapons were reported. Both investigations are ongoing, with authorities urging anyone with information to come forward.
