Southbound I-5 Closure in Santa Clarita

All southbound lanes of the 5 Freeway in Santa Clarita will be closed for construction from December 9 to December 12, 2024, between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. nightly, as part of the $679 million North County Enhancement Project. The closures will occur from Calgrove Boulevard to the State Route 14 interchange to facilitate the installation of three new overhead signs. Motorists are advised to expect delays and are encouraged to use detour routes, primarily exiting at Newhall Ranch Road or Calgrove Boulevard. There will be no daytime closures during this period.
