Speedata Raises $44M to Advance Analytics APUs
Israeli startup Speedata has raised $44 million in a Series B funding round, increasing its total capital to $114 million to advance its Analytics Processing Units (APUs) for big data and AI workloads. The company's APU, powered by the proprietary Callisto chip, is designed to accelerate complex analytics tasks and has demonstrated up to a 280-fold reduction in processing time for certain workloads compared to traditional processors. The new C200 PCIe card, featuring the Callisto chip, integrates easily with existing servers and is compatible with Apache Spark. Investors in this round include Walden Catalyst Ventures, 83North, Koch Disruptive Technologies, Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan, and Mellanox co-founder Eyal Waldman. Speedata's technology aims to enable scalable, real-time analytics across industries such as finance, healthcare, and business intelligence. The company is positioning itself as a significant competitor to established players like Nvidia.
