New York Jets hire Nic McKissic-Luke as running backs coach

McKissic-Luke, who joined the Gophers in January 2023, has been recognized for his impact on the running back position, helping players achieve significant rushing yards despite injury challenges. His hiring comes amid other coaching staff changes at Minnesota, including the departure of defensive coordinator Corey Hetherman. The Jets are also adding Jon Berger as their game management coach, a role he will fulfill alongside McKissic-Luke's responsibilities. Berger previously served as the NFL’s VP of replay and has extensive experience with the New York Giants' analytics department. This coaching shakeup is part of the Jets' overall efforts to enhance their performance in the upcoming season.
