Daria Cercek Named President of Disney Live Action Theatrical

Walt Disney Studios has appointed Daria Cercek as president of its live-action theatrical division. Cercek, formerly co-president of Paramount's Motion Picture Group, will oversee development and production of films based on Disney’s iconic properties as well as original projects. She will report to David Greenbaum, president of Disney Live Action and 20th Century Studios, and will be supported by a team of executives including Sam Dickerman and Allison Erlikhman. Greenbaum praised Cercek's creative talent and experience, expressing excitement about her contributions to Disney's legacy. Cercek herself noted her lifelong inspiration from Disney and expressed eagerness to collaborate with visionary filmmakers. The upcoming slate includes notable projects like Avatar 3 and live-action adaptations of classic titles such as Snow White and Moana.
