Steelers QB Skylar Thompson Robbed in Dublin
Backup Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Skylar Thompson was reportedly jumped and robbed Friday night in Dublin while visiting ahead of Pittsburgh’s Week 4 game against the Minnesota Vikings at Croke Park. He suffered minor injuries, did not require hospital treatment, and is with the team; Thompson is on injured reserve with a hamstring injury and is not expected to play. Steelers spokesman Burt Lauten said the team is “aware of a situation” and is working with NFL security; some reports say the Garda (Irish police) has been contacted. Multiple outlets reported the episode while team and league officials continue gathering information.
