Marvin Wicker Arrested in Hit-and-Run Death

Marvin Wicker, 40, was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Philadelphia for the hit-and-run death of 14-year-old Dawn Watson, who was struck while crossing Haverford Avenue with her mother on September 26. Wicker is charged with homicide by vehicle and related offenses after fleeing the scene of the accident, which resulted in Watson's fatal injuries. His arrest occurred at a rooming house in Germantown, following a joint investigation by federal and local authorities. A tip led police to recover Wicker's vehicle days later, which was covered by a tarp in a nearby location. Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal Robert Clark expressed hope that the arrest would provide closure for Watson's family. Wicker has a prior criminal record, including gun violations and aggravated indecent assault.
