Cardiff City sacks manager Omer Riza, appoints Aaron Ramsey as interim coach

Ramsey will be supported by Chris Gunter, Joe Ralls, Tom Hutton, and Matthew Bloxham in the technical area. Riza, who took over after Erol Bulut's dismissal earlier in the season, was let go after mounting pressure from fans and poor recent performances, including a 2-0 defeat to Sheffield United. Cardiff hope that Ramsey's appointment, given his status as a club legend and decorated youth product, will rally both players and supporters in their bid to avoid relegation. Ramsey, sidelined as a player due to injury, will not be involved on the field during the run-in.
