Wes Anderson's The Phoenician Scheme Streaming on Peacock July 25

Wes Anderson's latest film, 'The Phoenician Scheme,' starring Benicio del Toro as Anatole “Zsa-zsa” Korda, a ruthless European businessman on the run from various enemies, will begin streaming exclusively on Peacock starting July 25, 2025. The plot centers on Korda appointing his estranged daughter, a nun played by Mia Threapleton, as his heir amid a globe-trotting adventure involving personal tutor Bjorn (Michael Cera). The film features a star-studded ensemble including Tom Hanks, Bryan Cranston, Riz Ahmed, Scarlett Johansson, and Benedict Cumberbatch, and received a 7 1/2 minute standing ovation at Cannes. It had a limited theatrical release in the U.S. and India earlier in 2025, earning $19.2 million domestically and $37.4 million worldwide, slightly less than Anderson's previous film 'Asteroid City.'
