Robert Cole Parmalee, 40, was arrested near Bradley International Airport in Connecticut for stalking UConn basketball star Paige Bueckers, found with an engagement ring and lingerie in his possession. Parmalee had been openly expressing his desire to marry Bueckers on social media platforms like TikTok and had sent alarming emails to UConn officials since June, which included threats and obsessive remarks. Following his arrest on August 27, he was held on $100,000 bail and ordered to stay away from Bueckers, referred to as 'P.B.' in court documents. The police apprehended him under a warrant related to an unrelated arson case in Oregon. Parmalee's behavior reportedly escalated over time, causing significant emotional distress to Bueckers. His public defender has not commented on the case as of yet.
