Wolfsburg fires coach Ralph Hasenhüttl after winless streak

VfL Wolfsburg has dismissed head coach Ralph Hasenhüttl with two games remaining in the Bundesliga season, following a heavy 4-0 defeat to Borussia Dortmund that extended their winless streak to eight matches. The club currently sits 12th in the league and is no longer in contention for European qualification. Hasenhüttl, who took over in March 2024 during a challenging period, was credited with stabilizing the team but unable to deliver improved results in recent months. Wolfsburg's management cited recent performance and overall developments as reasons for the change, expressing gratitude for Hasenhüttl's efforts. Under-19 coach Daniel Bauer will serve as interim head coach for the final two matches of the season against Hoffenheim and Borussia Mönchengladbach.
