Record High Temperatures Expected in Minnesota

Southern Minnesota is experiencing record high temperatures again, with predictions of reaching 80 degrees on Tuesday, potentially breaking the previous record of 77 set in 1937. Showers are expected to develop in northern Minnesota and spread statewide into Wednesday, with the heaviest rainfall anticipated in southeast Minnesota and the North Shore. Following this, temperatures will drop significantly on Halloween, with highs around 55 degrees and a chance of rain in the morning. Overall, temperatures have been unseasonably warm, with several areas, including Rochester and Mason City, breaking previous records for late October. A return to cooler temperatures in the 50s is expected through the weekend, alongside another potential round of rain. Despite the warm weather, conditions will become windy with gusts up to 40 mph, particularly on Wednesday.
