Riverside Man Faces First-Degree Murder Charge
Richard Thomas Martinez, 48, was arrested on suspicion of murdering his 31-year-old roommate, Bradley Minder, after Minder's body was discovered buried in the backyard of their Riverside home. The arrest followed a police investigation initiated when Minder was reported missing on October 15, 2024. Martinez allegedly confessed to killing Minder during an altercation and burying him in the backyard. Forensic specialists and cadaver dogs were called to the scene and confirmed the presence of human remains. Martinez has been charged with first-degree murder and is held without bail at the Robert Presley Detention Center. The Riverside County District Attorney’s Office has also alleged that Martinez used deadly and dangerous weapons during the crime.
