Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan Lead UK Premiere of Netflix’s ‘Thursday Murder Club’

The Thursday Murder Club, a new Netflix movie based on Richard Osman's bestselling novel, features an all-star cast including Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley, and Celia Imrie as four retirees who solve cold cases in their retirement village. The film centers on their characters—ex-spy Elizabeth, former activist Ron, ex-psychiatrist Ibrahim, and retired nurse Joyce—whose quiet hobby takes a thrilling turn when a real murder occurs nearby. The cast recently appeared together at the UK premiere in London as well as a promotional event at the British Library, where Osman joined them for a live-streamed discussion. The movie will be released in cinemas on August 21 and on Netflix on August 28.
