Cardiff City Captain Joe Ralls Leaves After 15-Year Career
Joe Ralls, the long-serving captain of Cardiff City, is set to leave the club at the end of his contract this month, ending a 15-year tenure during which he made 409 appearances and scored 34 goals. Ralls, who joined Cardiff as a teenager and rose from academy prospect to club captain, played a key role in two Premier League promotions and was highly regarded for his loyalty, leadership, and commitment. His departure follows discussions with new head coach Brian Barry-Murphy, who has a vision to take the club in a new direction. Club owner Vincent Tan and other officials praised Ralls for his professionalism, influence on and off the pitch, and connection with the community. Alongside Ralls, midfielder and right-back Andy Rinomhota is also expected to leave after his contract is not renewed. Ralls expressed gratitude to the club and fans, and optimism about the future under Barry-Murphy's leadership.
