Seven Police Officers Injured in Derry Incidents

Seven police officers were injured in two separate incidents in Derry during the early hours of Wednesday. A 25-year-old man has been charged with three counts of assault on police and one count of disorderly behaviour following an incident in the Waterside area. He is scheduled to appear in court on March 12. In a separate incident in the Cityside, a 33-year-old woman faces charges including attempted grievous bodily harm and multiple counts of assault on police, and is due in court the following day. One officer sustained serious injuries, being kicked multiple times in the head. The incidents have prompted increased police presence in the area as investigations continue.
