Kansas State Volleyball Secures First-Ever Win Over Utah in Four Sets
The No. 21 University of Minnesota Duluth volleyball team lost a close four-set match to No. 18 Southwest Minnesota State, ending with a 17-5 overall record and 10-5 in conference play. Key players like a junior middle blocker and a sophomore setter posted double-doubles, but the Bulldogs were unable to overcome strong runs by the Mustangs in the latter sets. Meanwhile, Kansas State volleyball achieved a historic 3-1 victory over Utah, marking their first win against the Utes and improving to 12-6 overall. Senior setter Ava LeGrand and senior outside hitter Shaylee Myers were instrumental, with LeGrand recording her 10th double-double of the season and Myers tallying 23 kills and a double-double. The Wildcats showcased balanced offense and solid defense, overcoming adversity after a teammate's injury early in the match. Utah State soccer fell 3-0 to Boise State in their regular season finale, snapping a three-game winning streak and entering the Mountain West Tournament with an 8-6-5 record.
