Two Illegal Immigrants Arrested in Fatal Texas Jet Ski Crash

Daikerlyn Alejandra Gonzalez Gonzalez, an illegal immigrant from Venezuela, was arrested in connection with the fatal jet ski collision that killed 18-year-old Ava Moore on Lake Grapevine, Texas. Moore, a recent graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy Preparatory School and a member of the Class of 2029, was kayaking when Gonzalez allegedly struck her with a jet ski and fled the scene with a male accomplice, also an undocumented immigrant. The suspects were captured after a coordinated effort involving multiple agencies, including Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton's Fugitive Apprehension Unit, Homeland Security Investigations, and local police departments. Authorities reported that the suspects were involved in a subsequent hit-and-run while fleeing, and Gonzalez has been charged with manslaughter. Witnesses noted reckless operation of the jet ski prior to the crash, and the Air Force Academy expressed mourning and support for Moore's family and community. Attorney General Paxton emphasized that the tragedy was caused by someone who should not have been in the country, pledging continued cooperation among law enforcement to ensure justice for Moore.
