A railway employee, Prashant Kumar, was beaten to death by passengers on a New Delhi-bound train after being accused of molesting an 11-year-old girl. The incident occurred in the AC coach of the Humsafar Express between Lucknow and Kanpur. The girl's family and other passengers attacked Kumar after the girl reported the alleged molestation to her mother. Kumar was taken to a hospital but was declared dead upon arrival.
