Andre Onana to miss AFCON
Manchester United is reportedly hopeful of having Andre Onana in the starting XI for their clash against Tottenham and is in talks with Cameroon to delay his departure for the Africa Cup of Nations. Onana is set to be available for United's FA Cup tie against Wigan on Monday, and the club wants him to play against Spurs on January 14. If Cameroon are knocked out of the group stages, Onana could return for United in the FA Cup fourth round if they beat Wigan. However, if Cameroon were to reach the AFCON final, Onana could miss up to four matches. Onana is concerned about losing his place at United to the second-choice goalkeeper, Altay Bayindir, and wants to limit his time away from the club as much as possible.
