School Fundraising Efforts Raise Thousands for Sudan Hunger, Cancer Support

Young students across different regions have been actively raising funds for charitable causes, demonstrating the power of youth-led philanthropy. Clementine Hackworth, a 10-year-old fourth grader from Lincoln Elementary in St. Joseph, has raised over $2,100 through a GoFundMe campaign to support starving families in Sudan, with donations directed to Proximity 2 Humanity's Mutual Aid Sudan Fund. Meanwhile, two Primary Seven pupils from Kippen Primary in Scotland, Orlagh McGookin-Davies and Lucy Wilson, have collectively raised more than £2,000 through events and ongoing challenges; Orlagh is participating in the Kelpie Challenge to support Strathcarron Hospice, and Lucy is fundraising for MacMillan Cancer Support. Additionally, Kenton Middle School hosted its annual Choose Hope event, raising over $4,000 for Not By Choice, a local organization assisting those with cancer. These initiatives highlight how students are contributing significantly to both local and global causes through various fundraising efforts.
