He has also criticized Alvarez's recent performance against Scull and predicted that the Alvarez-Crawford fight will be more about publicity than competition. Despite expressing disappointment, Paul said he understands Alvarez's decision to prioritize his family's financial security. Paul remains confident he would have beaten Alvarez if they had fought.
