NTSB investigates fatal plane crashes in Ashland County, Dallas County, Kansas

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is investigating a fatal plane crash in Ashland County, Ohio, where a single-engine Express 2000 FT aircraft piloted by 72-year-old Gary Wolfelt crashed shortly after departing from Burke Lakefront Airport. Wolfelt, the only person on board, died in the incident, and severe weather may have been a contributing factor. The crash occurred near the intersection of state Route 89 and Township Road 902 in Jackson Township, with local authorities and the FAA also involved in the investigation.
