Rangers Assign Victor Mancini to Hartford Wolf Pack

The New York Rangers have assigned rookie defenseman Victor Mancini to the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack and recalled veteran Chad Ruhwedel. Mancini, 22, had a promising start with the Rangers, scoring four points in nine games but struggled defensively, leading to his being a healthy scratch for the last four games. In his first game with Hartford, he scored a goal and was named the Second Star in a 4-2 victory over the Charlotte Checkers.
