Tommy Fleetwood wins India Championship to extend exceptional season

Tommy Fleetwood continued his outstanding 2025 season by winning the India Championship at Delhi Golf Club, marking his first European Tour victory of the year and his eighth career European Tour win. Starting the final round two shots behind leader Keita Nakajima, Fleetwood surged ahead with four consecutive birdies around the turn and finished with a 7-under 65 for a two-shot victory at 22-under 266. This win follows his recent FedEx Cup title, his role as the leading points-earner for Team Europe in the Ryder Cup, and moves him from No. 94 to No. 25 in the Race to Dubai, making him eligible for the Abu Dhabi Championship and the season-ending Tour Championship in Dubai. A highlight of the tournament was Fleetwood's son, Frankie, running onto the 18th green after his father’s final putt, fulfilling a special personal moment Fleetwood had hoped for. Despite Nakajima's bogey-free round and strong start, he was unable to keep pace, finishing second and earning a spot among European Tour players eligible for PGA Tour cards next year. Fleetwood expressed that while his year has been filled with successes, this victory on European soil was especially meaningful to him.
