Mitchell Marsh Set for IPL 2025 Return

Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh is set to return to the IPL 2025 season, joining the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on March 18 as a batter-only, after being sidelined by a lower-back injury. Marsh, who missed the Champions Trophy due to 'lower back pain and dysfunction,' has been cleared to play following a period of rehabilitation and consultation with a back specialist. While he won't bowl, LSG plans to use him as an 'Impact Player' at the top of the order. His return is significant as Marsh has been plagued by injuries throughout his IPL career, including a recent hamstring issue with the Delhi Capitals. Meanwhile, Australia's pace trio, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, and Josh Hazlewood, are also expected to play in the IPL after recovering from their respective injuries. Cummins is particularly vital for Sunrisers Hyderabad, having led them to the finals last season.
