Authorities Hunt Escaped Inmates in US and Canada

Authorities in both Canada and the United States are conducting separate searches for escaped inmates. In Manitoba, the RCMP are searching for Jason David Vanwyck, a 41-year-old who escaped from Stony Mountain Institution while serving a sentence for breaking and entering, theft, assault with a weapon, and uttering threats. In Kentucky, State Police are searching for Jarod R. Barnes, 28, who escaped from the Bluegrass Career and Development Center in Madison County and is considered dangerous. Barnes, described as a Black male with tattoos on his chest and arms, was serving sentences for organized crime, meth trafficking, and persistent felony offender enhancements. Authorities in both countries are urging the public to provide information on the inmates' whereabouts. Investigations remain ongoing in both cases.
